Business Transformation Manager, Special Project Cargo Position Available In New York, New York

Business Transformation Manager, Special Project CargoDevelop effective and constructive solutions and improvements to the company’s processes and procedures related to special project cargo handling. Observe special project cargo operations, including out-of-gauge (“OOG”), breakbulk, heavy lift, and oversized cargo, in order to identify operational weaknesses in processes and procedures. Conduct work simplification and measurement studies. Review data related to special project management processes, equipment availability, vessel and chassis inventory levels, and depot, rail, trucker, and other special project specific operations and convert data into business insights. Identify inefficiencies in special project cargo handling processes utilizing business analytic tools. Evaluate possible solutions to facilitate cost reduction and determine which plan will best increase cost, operational and managerial efficiency. Develop and discuss business automation strategies, practices and policies and prepare written reports detailing key special project management problems faced by the company.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Political Science, Economics, Management or related and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or as Quality Control Specialist, Logistics Specialist, Operations Specialist, or related position. In the alternative, employer will accept four years of experience in the job offered or as Quality Control Specialist, Logistics Specialist, Operations Specialist, or related position. At least two years of experience must be in the U.S. container carrying industry and must include knowledge of special project, out-of-gauge (“OOG”), breakbulk, and heavy lift cargo processes, rules, and regulations. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
