Summary:

The Project Manager will drive the Development Projects as well as Opportunity to

Order ProjectsResponsibilities:
Core:

Act as local project manager for development and Opportunity to Order (OTO) projectsDefine market & customer requirements (local product requirement specification)Manage the local (project) activities at VTI and coordinate between VTA and VTIBe responsible for budget, time and quality for the respective (sub-)project deliverables in alignment with Director of Sales OEMs and Business Development and Vice President CVLeading and managing development projects including localization and in the field of e-mobility from conception to completion. This includes the development of new products and product generations that meet customer requirements and expectations and reflect technological advances in the e-mobility industry.

Ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget and meet the defined quality standards. It is important to implement efficient processes and methods to optimize product development.

Promote effective collaboration and communication between different internal teams and external partners (The aim is to create an environment that fosters innovation and enables the seamless integration of new products and technologies standards)

Additional:

Interdisciplinary leadership of the project teams, including areas such as software development, hardware development, system development, testing and other relevant departments. This requires the coordination and integration of different departments to ensure efficient and effective project implementation.

Creating and monitoring project schedules and budgets, including the coordination of resources from different departments.

Working with internal teams (e.g. engineering, product management, sales) and external partners to achieve project objectives. This includes regular communication and coordination to ensure that all team members are working towards the same goal.

Monitoring the progress of the project and ensuring that the projects meet the defined requirements. This includes monitoring the performance of the various departments and Implementing corrective actions as required.

Identify and manage project resources, including the allocation of personnel and budgets to the various departments based on project requirements.

Continuous monitoring and control of all aspects of project management, including risk management, quality management and financial management.

Reporting on project status to senior managers and other stakeholders. This includes presenting the performance of the various disciplines and discussing challenges and solutions.

Driving innovation and continuous improvement across all disciplines by implementing best practices and promoting learning and development opportunities.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Strong technical background with good understanding and knowledge of electrical and electronic equipment selection and system operating requirements in the respective field.

Maintain a strong comprehension of the company’s broad range of power transmission products in order to valuate drive system requirements and propose technically sound drive solutions. Responsibilities require equipment selection, project estimatingGood interpersonal skills; ability to build and maintain successful relationships within the product group, as well as with other departments and customersStrong communication skillsAbility to read and interpret scientific/technical drawings and documentation, commercial terms and conditions, and customer specificationsGood interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain successful customer relations as well as communicate and work effectively with other company personnel and departments.

Strong organizational skills; ability to establish and achieve product development objectives within a product group team.

Fluency in Spanish when area of responsibility includes Mexico and C.

AmericaEducation and Experience:

Bachelor’s of Science Engineering Degree from 4-year college or university and/or related experience (ME Degree preferred)5+ years experience in OTO Project Management function and/or technical sales and its environment in dealing directly with automotive customers and technical associationsExtensive knowledge of the needs for the core automotive and commercial vehicles industries.
