General Foreman – Stormwater Town of Dracut, MA 833 Hildreth Street, Dracut, MA 01826 Job Overview Under the general supervision of the Public Works Director and/or the Stormwater Manager, the General Foreman – Stormwater Division is responsible for carrying out the directions of the Public Works Director or designee by performing field supervision of ongoing projects throughout the Town of Dracut and reporting the status of same to the Public Works Director or designee on a daily basis. Specific worksites and assignments may vary to meet the needs of the Town as assigned through the Public Works Director or designee. Responsibilities

• Responsible for ensuring best practices are followed while performing field supervision of ongoing projects throughout the Town of Dracut
• Shall be familiar with snow removal operations and the application of de-icing chemicals
• Shall be knowledgeable of the total operation of the Public Works Department and act as an assistant to the Public Works Director
• May act as the temporary division head, with approval of the Town Manager, in the absence of the Public Works Director
• Operates any motor driven equipment including trucks, tractors, road rollers, rotary snow fighters, tar distributors, road sweepers, leaf loaders, road flushers, hoisting equipment and hydraulic equipment, pay loaders, and any and all Town owned equipment.
• Performs other related duties as required by the Public Works Director or designee.

Minimum Qualifications Ø Ability to keep extensive records and make reports. Ø General knowledge equivalent to a high school diploma and specialized training courses, as well as supervisory skills Ø Five (5) to seven (7) years of applicable experience Ø Must have a valid MA Class A CDL or ability to obtain within six (6) months of hire, and ability to obtain Class 2A/1C hydraulic license within one (1) year of hire. Ø Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills. Ø Proficiency in data processing, the use of personal computers and office software including word processing, and database and spreadsheet applications. Ø Additional appropriate certifications, endorsements and specialized training will be considered.
