Job Overview:

Assist the Director of Community and Vocational Services with day-to-day operations of the program while ensuring compliance with DDS, CARF, agency standards and any additional statutes and regulations. Organize and facilitate opportunities for community integration in leisure and vocational areas for people served. In partnership with the Director of Community and Vocational Services in providing staff related oversight (hiring, training, performance). Identify and develop employment related opportunities for members seeking employment exploration. Develop and maintain a positive working relationship and open communication with families, residences, providers and others involved in the care of the people served Act as an advocate to protect the rights and interests of the people served. Participate as a member of the interdisciplinary team, representing the interests, needs and personal preferences of the people served as needed. Responsibilities Oversee the development of community partnerships, mentoring and internship programs, along with volunteering opportunities with local businesses and educational institutions. Develop socially enriching programs within the community that provides opportunities for people served and group involvement. Oversee the job skills evaluation for people served. Provide leadership and coaching to program staff. Provide oversight in data collection and outcome reporting from agency Electronic Healthcare Record (EHR) system. Complete and maintain accurate and current programmatic documentation as required.

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree preferred. Must have at least three years’ experience working with adults with developmental disabilities within a social, recreational, and/or educational environment. 2 years of supervisory or program management experience preferred. Excellent organizational, communication, and writing skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively within a culturally diverse population of individuals, co-workers, care providers, family, community members and others. Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record is required. Knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Suite, internet access and/or similar software programs. Current First Aid, CPR, MAP and Crisis Intervention certificates or be able to obtain these within thirty (30) days of hire. Pass criminal background check (CORI) and
