Overview :
The Program Manager
- scatter-site Shelter Programs manages an emergency assistance (EA) scattered-site program(s) with the overall responsibility for service delivery to homeless families with the ultimate objective of assisting families with achieving economic viability and stable housing.
Heading Home strives to serve all of our clients using trauma-informed engagement and service delivery. As an agency, we prioritize training and continuing education opportunities for all team members, including evidence-based techniques like motivational interviewing and verbal intervention. Essential Job Functions :
Assures the integrity of the facility and ensures standards for safety and sanitation are maintained
- unit inspections to be completed in person Supervises shelter staff and evaluates performance with guidance from the Director or Assistant Director of Family Services.
Oversees the delivery of client services, makes assessments of program impact and recommends program/policy changes. Assists with grant requests Performs all other reasonable on site/in person related duties as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Family Services and/or Sr. Director of Programs Participate in an on-call rotation which may require in person if emergency/crisis arise Other essential duties that require on site/in person presence as they arise as part of this job description Must assume any essential urgent duties due to direct reporting staff vacancies, which may include on site/in person presence For any position that has an on-call rotation as part of the standard job description, the possibility of on-site/presence is a possibility when on-call Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Heading Home, Inc. is an Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) employer and welcomes all qualified applicants. Work Environment Cubicle space within large office building; prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer, field work visiting with clients. Office is open to the public and visitors only by appointment. Position requires a minimum of four days onsite after training. Office is climate controlled with heat and air conditioning. Three
- Five years of experience or equivalent experience in human services Bachelor’s Degree/Master’s Degree, with major in Human Service or related field preferred. Any combination of experience and education that equips candidate to perform above mentioned tasks Administrative and supervisory experience Excellent communication skills
- written and oral; creative; able to work independently and in team; ability to handle crisis and public relations.
Must be able to occasionally ascend/descend stairs up to three or more sets, frequently move equipment weighing up to 15 lbs., must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. On Call Rotation Required
