Responsible for developing, maintaining, and managing the master production schedule to ensure optimal production efficiency, inventory control, and on-time delivery. This role coordinates with production, procurement, and sales teams to align manufacturing capabilities with customer demand. Responsible for development of the Manufacturing Forecast with the production planners determining order ship dates based upon available materials, labor, and capacity in addition to customer need. Lead the production planners to ensure scheduling of manufacturing work centers to optimize customer delivery performance, maximize throughput in the factory and minimize inefficiencies.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Lead Production Control Team, ensuring that the team is maintaining safety standards and adhering to established planning protocols Lead by example, promoting a safe working environment and participating in safety initiatives. Develop and maintain the master production schedule for all wire and cable products. Develop and maintain performance KPIs for the Production control team Interface daily with production team to review compliance to schedule and adjust. Respond to input from the floor regarding daily schedule changes that will reduce set ups, improve compound usage, maximize run efficiency, and increase throughput. Lead production meetings to review schedules, priorities, and potential issues. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, especially identifying and implementing best practices in planning. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the scheduling process. Review long term capacity issues regularly. Communicate with affected parties to resolve raw material and WIP issues. Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure raw materials are available to meet production schedules. Primary interface with Sales personnel to status orders, to include sales order acknowledgement, ensuring 80/20 rules are being adhered to. Any exceptions are being properly vetted and approved, according to established protocols. Lead efforts to adjust lead times as required for critical customers and provide feedback about processing problems for feedback to customers. Primary work order release. Assist in the monitoring of inventory levels particularly of stock and customer stock products as well as crib stock singles and repeat use of raw materials. Assist the Management with monitoring Manufacturing and Shipping activities near month end, ensuring these organizations are coordinated in their focus towards meeting customer commitments (to include on-time delivery) and EGCT financial goals. Promote organization through application 80/20 principles and 5S. Act as a back-up if needed in the absence of the Supply Chain Manager in specific areas as determined These are the general duties required to fulfill the Master Scheduler job description, not a detailed description of all work required. EDUCATIONAL/JOB EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing production planning or scheduling, preferably in the wire and cable manufacturing industry. 2 + years of management experience Proficiency in scheduling software (ERP/MRP systems) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles is a plus. Ability to negotiate/compromise and deal with constantly changing objectives.
