SUMMARY Schedules and coordinates flow of work within or between departments of manufacturing plant to expedite production by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Confers with production personnel to resolve problems affecting production schedules. Prepares work schedules and expedites work flow. Reviews master production schedule and work orders. Revises schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of workers, material, machines, and equipment. Distributes work orders to manufacturing. Compiles scheduling reports concerning progress of work, time orders will be run and priority of shop orders. Confers with department supervisors to determine progress of work and to provide information on changes in processing. Adjusts errors and complaints.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
