Job Description
The Distribution Warehouse Associate duties include warehouse receiving, packing, shipping, inventory, and other various warehouse functions. While most of the time will be devoted to these primary functions, there may be exceptions that require cross-training on other operations throughout the facility. Responsibilities and Duties As a minimum, the following is a basic description of typical duties and responsibilities expected of the Distribution Warehouse Associate. These duties are not exhaustive and are subject to change as the needs of the organization require.
- Demonstrate understanding of company objectives and operating standards.
- Ensure customers’ orders are completed in an efficient manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Assist in creating work schedules and estimating employee-hour requirements for completion of job assignments.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
- Coordinate activities with other departments to ensure delivery schedules are met.
- Assist all operations of shipping, receiving, warehouse and transportation.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of department.
- Control expenditures of departmental consumables including all packaging consumables.
- Ensure the proper disposition of all inbound/outbound freight.
- Maintain facility, vehicles, and equipment.
- Keep a clean and safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company safety rules, regulations, and quality standards.
- Adhere to all company handbook policies and procedures. Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Good organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
- Able to effectively multi-task and work independently on assigned tasks
- Ability to measure using different tools, e.g. micrometer & calipers
- Ability to read and calculate numbers and data
- Operate with high integrity, maintaining positive relations with co-workers, customers, suppliers, and management
- Strong work ethic; self-motivated Preferred Qualifications
- One or more years driving commercial vehicles e.
g. van, box truck or flatbed. Additionally, warehouse experience includes picking, packing, and shipping. Requires HS diploma or GED. Ability to work independently. Must speak, read and write in English. Must be US Citizen. Mon-Fri 8am-4:30pm. $21 per hour. Temp To Perm, looking for long term employees to join the team!
