Job description:

The Materials Coordinator, reporting to the Operations Coordinator, has responsibilities for preparing products for incoming and outgoing shipping, materials movement within the plant, and keeping careful records of all shipping, receiving and material movement information. Manage the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies Prepare and label products for shipment by appropriately boxing, crating, and packaging Track, trace, and update the status of incoming and outgoing shipments Ensure and verify accuracy of shipments and documents Update internal databases with shipment and order details Maintain accurate record of all transactions Maintain a clean and orderly workspace Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education required – High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Experience required – At least 6 months of shipping and receiving Excellent attention to detail is a must Strong sense of time organization and urgency Able to work independently and within a team environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills Experience with computer applications Forklift Certification a plus Ability to work occasional overtime

Physical Demands :

Required to stand, walk, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach with hands and arms. The use of common hand tools and sharp tools are involved. The employee must be able to move and/or lift objects up to 50 pounds.
