Job Description
Dangerous Goods Officer
The DG Manager will manage and lead the administration of DP World Dangerous Goods program. Develop and administer best-in-class processes and systems to ensure dangerous goods are transported safely and in compliance with applicable 49 CFR, IATA, and IMDG regulations. This role will also act as a DG specialist responsible for resolving compliance gaps and driving new compliance initiatives. Facilitates and partners with teams to ensure organizational compliance, maintain solid relationships, and remediate concerns internally and externally. The qualified individual will be ultimately responsible for compliance against domestic, regional, and global regulatory policies governing dangerous goods transport.
This role would be working for Tuesday through Saturday 11am-7pm. Your Key Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business management, or related field.3-7 years of dangerous goods program experienceCurrently certified in Dangerous Goods Shipping (IATA/49CFR)Expert knowledge of the Dangerous Goods Regulations (IATA/49CFR); knowledge of IMDG a plus
About the Role
How you will contribute
Advise the company on the safe storage and transport of dangerous goods by any mode of transport possible.
Ensure that, where required, the correct paperwork (Dangerous Goods) is created and issued.
Monitor the organizations compliance with dangerous goods regulations.
Prepare annual reports about the activities of the organization related to the storage and transport of
dangerous goods.
Provide and monitor the provision of appropriate training to any staff involved in the handling and transport of dangerous goods.
Review and monitor the procedures for the provision of adequate training of personnel and the retention and maintenance of appropriate training records.

Trained in
IATA / ADR
Five years of progressive work experience performing professional level quality, environment, health and safety management duties; preferably in manufacturing or logistics industry
Additional education, training and/or work experience in area of specialization inherent to the position may be required. Knowledge of principles and procedures used in logistics operations and practices Extensive knowledge and/or training in Core Tools (QPulse, DGOffice)
