This role is critical during a period of rapid growth for DP World Contract Logistics in the US and Mexico. The Sr. Quality Manager plays a key role in implementing new business with process driven excellence—delivering scalable, high-performing, and sustainable operations that meet DP World’s standard by executing our proven launch blueprint.
The Sr. Quality Manager is responsible for leading all quality-related activities during site launches. This role ensures process standards, audits, and continuous improvement practices are embedded at each site to meet both customer requirements and internal performance expectations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Foster the creation of a process driven culture at each new business launch in line with DP World standards and practices
Lead development and implementation of quality management processes during launches
Ensure sites adhere to DP World quality standards and customer-specific requirements
Ensure SOP creation, validation, and training to ensure process control and consistency
Conduct process audits, develop corrective actions, and drive root cause analysis
Collaborate with functional teams to integrate quality checkpoints into each launch phase
Track key quality metrics and use data to identify areas for improvement
Provide coaching and training to launch teams on quality principles and standards
Support the implementation and execution of core management practices, including board walks, line rosters, start-of-shift meetings, and the use of visual management tools to represent area and site performance
Integrate Lean methodologies—such as Gemba walks, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), standardized work, and process audits—into daily routines to drive operational discipline and continuous improvement
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., Quality Management, Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering) or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in quality related field, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing
5+ years of experience in quality management, preferably in logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing
Demonstrated knowledge of ISO standards, Six Sigma, or other quality frameworks
Experience conducting audits and developing quality systems
HSE knowledge/experience in a logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environment a plus
Operational knowledge/experience in warehouse design, systems, and logistics process flows a plus
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and training abilities
Willingness and ability to travel 50-70% of the time, including extended stays of 1-6 weeks during launch periods
