Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. The Electronics Commodity director is a key role within the Raytheon Supply Chain organization. This leader is responsible for developing and enhancing partnerships with Raytheon’s critical suppliers. This role will be accountable to improving Raytheon’s schedule and achieving cost savings for top tier suppliers, driving supplier performance to contract and enhancing communication with Raytheon’s highest impact suppliers. The Electronics Commodity Director will develop strategies that advance the supply base resiliency to minimize operating disruptions and decrease business vulnerability. This role is responsible for leading, motivating, inspiring and developing a large team of supply chain professionals. This position is on-site within the US at one of Raytheon’s locations. The preference is that the candidate would be located in Tucson, AZ, McKinney, TX or Andover, MA.

What You Will Do:

Own the entire relationship life cycle with the commodity suppliers to reduce hand-offs, drive clear ownership and accountability, and increase overall effectivity through the alignment of procurement and Supplier Performance Management Implement Electronics Commodity Strategies through cross functional work with Corporate and SBU Strategy teams to align to both short- and long-term business needs Partner across RTX to develop long term sourcing strategies that enable Raytheon and RTX’s growth strategy Execute critical agreements within the commodity to reduce that help support business requirements, reduce cost, reduce administrative burden, and de-risk the business Lead through the development/training of the commodity team, promote a positive employee experience by creating executable plans, and delivering on our commitments Engage with Suppliers, RTX Corporate Teams, and Leadership to create alignment on strategies and business requirements Create visibility across supply base, including multi-tier suppliers, to improve resiliency and decrease business vulnerability

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 14 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 12 years experience An understanding of how materials are sourced, planned, procured, and distributed worldwide despite economic and supply chain constraints Detailed understanding of Major Subcontract Negotiation and Management, Planning systems (PRISM) and Processes Requires extensive knowledge of FAR/DFAR and complex negotiation skills such as fact finding, cost and pricing analysis, and contracting strategies. Must be able to apply highly creative and unusual problem-solving skills to balance program material needs with supplier capacity worldwide. Strong understanding of all contract types – from new development through production and operates across all contractual mechanisms (Core Defense, FMS, DCS, etc). Experience fostering an environment where high performing teams are developed and leveraged to create value for the business Experience defining cross-organizational/company-wide strategy including driving alignment “U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.
