We are a 4 year running Top Workplace in the Greater St. Louis area. Job Summary Leonardo DRS Land Systems is seeking a full time Senior Manager of Planning for our Bridgeton, MO facility. This position will be responsible for leading the planning and materials organization at our Bridgeton facility; including but not limited to planning, inventory controls, warehousing and government property. Job Responsibilities
Ensure cost, schedule, and throughput targets for product lines and/or work cells are consistently met while ensuring staffing and technology support are in line with the needs of the business
Capable of resolving complex issues/problems utilizing comprehensive understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and material management processes
Provide leadership for direct reports in the execution of their day to day activities
Analyze material and program reports to understand issues and create action plans
Responsible for monitoring of demand execution to optimize throughput support, inventory position and cash flow while minimizing excess risk
Develop program support budgets and proposal Basis of Estimate (BOE), managing activities to successfully meet financial objectives
Drive consistent communication between materials, manufacturing, project accounting, program management and all other functional teams
Recruit, develop and train staff members, ensuring team skills are maintaining pace with performance expectations
Actively engage in identifying risk factors and executing risk mitigation plans to enable the team to meet the needs of the business, including the development of early warning signals to improve operational performance
Develop team goals, supportive of overall business goals, and develop and maintain metrics required to monitor performance
Communicate and enforce company and department policies and procedures
Develop and implements process improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement through all material management systems and processes
Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of the organization
Business system test and development in support of deployments and improvements
Support/attend internal and external customer meetings and audits product introduction support
Continuing education (external/internal) to support emerging needs of the business
Develop and implements business operating procedures for all material processes
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
A minimum of 10 years demonstrated experience in high technology, aerospace or defense
DoD experience preferred
Demonstrated knowledge of supply chain management tools and procedures
Demonstrated management skills, particularly “influence management” and “conflict resolution”
Experience throughout the product lifecycle from Product Introduction through obsolescence to include:generation of system and subsystem statements of work and subcontracts, strategic supplier selection, risk management, and continuous improvement efforts including implementation for cost reduction and performance improvement efforts
Experience in finance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics, manufacturing and DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR, DFAR regulations
Strong customer interface skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills
Demonstrated success in managing manpower planning, program reviews, scheduling and budget control
Must have a successful track record in managing complex aerospace/defense supply chain activities
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills The expected pay scale for this position is $101,553.00/year – $157,661.00year for the state of Illinois. Should the level, location, or scope of the position change during the hiring process, the pay scale may be modified accordingly.
