Under the supervision of the Director of Customer Relations and Logistics, working in partnership with the Asset and Preventive Maintenance Manager, and Facilities management, is responsible for overseeing the management, tracking, and distribution of all materials, supplies, and equipment used within the department. This includes ensuring adequate stock levels, maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating with vendors and suppliers, and implementing systems to streamline inventory processes. The Inventory Manager will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the facilities team and contributing to the efficient management of campus resources. By implementing an inventory management strategy this position will optimize the supply chain, reduce costs, and improve customer service. Will be customer service focused. Description Required Qualifications – Education and Yrs Exp High School plus 3+ years’ experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Required Qualifications – Skills, Knowledge and Abilities High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a facilities, maintenance, or operations setting. Valid driver’s license and ability to qualify as a Dartmouth Approved Driver. Experience with purchasing, vendor negotiations, and cost control. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and inventory management software. Basic knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to inventory and materials handling. Must possess a personable demeanor and strong customer service skills. Five-plus years’ experience working in a customer service centered environment. Proficient in using email, Word, and Excel software.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge in handling hazardous materials. Knowledge of building construction and maintenance practices. Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems ( CMMS ).
