Job Description

PRIMARY EMPLOYMENT OBJECTIVES

The Global Logistics Lead is responsible for the end-to-end execution and continuous improvement of all domestic and international logistics activities, including the import of goods to the U.S. and export of finished products to customers worldwide. This role ensures accurate documentation, regulatory compliance, and optimized transit performance. This position is an individual contributor and is expected to act as a cross-functional logistics subject matter expert across Revision Military’s global operations.

SPECIFIC ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Coordinate global inbound and outbound freight across all transportation modes (small parcel, LTL, FTL, ocean, and air).
  • Serve as the point of contact for customs clearance, freight classification, and routing questions across the business.
  • Ensure compliance with import and export regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and FTR requirements.
  • Review and manage all shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, SLIs, AES filings, and EEI submissions.
  • Work closely with Trade Compliance to maintain accurate product classifications (HTS/ECCN) and support ongoing audits and reporting.
  • Support denied party screening and assist with manual commercial invoice generation for nonstandard shipments.
  • Collaborate with 3PLs, brokers, and freight forwarders to manage day-to-day logistics performance and exceptions.
  • Maintain and improve the routing matrix for best transit times, cost efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
  • Partner with Finance to ensure logistics spend is within budgeted targets and support quarterly freight accruals and reconciliation.
  • Analyze freight spend and logistics KPIs to identify cost-saving opportunities, support accurate forecasting for budget planning, and ensure alignment with financial targets through regular monitoring of cost drivers and variance-to-budget performance.
  • Quantify and execute duty drawback claims to recover eligible duties, driving bottom-line impact.
  • Identify and implement logistics process improvements to reduce lead times, avoid compliance issues, and streamline operations.
  • Lead communication with Sales, Customer Service, Planning, and Operations on logistics constraints and shipping schedules.
  • Monitor U.S. Customs ACE reporting, file ITNs, and manage routine duty drawback opportunities in coordination with brokers.
  • Stay informed on changes in international shipping trends, regulatory updates, and carrier performance.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years of direct freight/logistics experience with both international and domestic shipments.
  • Deep understanding of global shipping terms (Incoterms), customs brokerage, and freight documentation.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. export and import compliance regulations, including ITAR, EAR, and AES systems.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and ERP platforms (e.g., Syteline or similar).
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Dangerous Goods/IATA certification a plus.
  • Experience coordinating across departments and supporting external partnerships (e.g., 3PLs, freight forwarders).
