MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Experience:

2+ years’ experience working with a Fleet program. Highly competent with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel. Advanced ability to write and communicate technically.

Certificate/Licensure:

Valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

: Oversight of project equipment and vehicles. Ensure fleet operates in compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements Monitoring all company repairs and maintenance budgets. Assist with the company’s fleet related operational policies, procedures and programs. Ability to maintain company vendor, supplier, equipment, and maintenance related accounts. Ability to maintain company’s asset management system (Maintenance Pro) and utilization of the that data to improve fleet efficiencies and capital expenditures. Complete, obtain and/or manage fleet related regulatory reports, permits, licensing, insurance audits, IFTA submissions and any other tasks generally associated with management of the company’s fleet. Responsible for the efficient operation and maintenance of the company’s fleet. Responsible for ensuring equipment and vehicles are compliant with all federal, state, and local regulations. Responsible for monitoring and enforcing all company safety policies and procedures. Must act in a professional and respectful manner at all times. Must continuously develop beneficial relationships with outside parties including customers, vendors, suppliers, and equipment related accounts. Must identify, evaluate, and successfully pursue fleet efficiency goals and solutions. Must constantly coordinate with internal and external parties as required to efficiently and effectively meet the company’s maintenance and operational needs. Must routinely inspect all company owned equipment and log all relevant information within the company’s asset management system. Must complete and submit any and all measurables and/or reports as required. Must travel as required to successfully fulfill the duties of this position (25% travel expected). KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

General knowledge of the principles, practices and processes including current FMSCA and DOT Federal and State laws, statutes, regulations, policies. Ability to use proper judgment or action in emergency or crisis situations. Ability to use personal protective equipment in compliance with OSHA exposure control program. Ability to work constructively with vendors and customers. General knowledge of office routines and functions is sufficient to refer visitors and telephone calls and to route correspondence. Knowledge of computer systems and applications; skill in gathering, analyzing and evaluating data. Ability to exercise initiative, apply and adapt policies, principles and techniques to solve everyday problems and deal with a variety of situations. Ability to develop short and long-term plans and programs and to evaluate work accomplishments. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with management staff, other employees, and the general public. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of business and personnel information. Ability to present facts and recommendations, communicate in a clear, effective, and positive manner in oral and written form. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required. Ability to prioritize and handle pressure due to multiple calls, inquiries, and work assignments within allotted time. Ability to read, interpret and apply company policies and procedures. Ability to type and be proficient in the use of computer and office equipment. Ability to use accuracy in the identification and reporting of data. Willingness to work irregular hours, overtime and/or weekends.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The employee filling this position will be expected to be readily available by phone and/or in person, 24/7/365, as required. Job functions will be carried out in a vast array of environments including but not limited to maintenance facilities, job sites, customer facilities, vehicles, agricultural sites, landfills, end user facilities, etc. Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel. Ability to push, pull, move or lift up to 50 lbs. Regularly required to reach with hands and arms. Occasional reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching. Hearing and speech capable of communicating in person and on telephone. Vision is capable of viewing monitors, calculators, charts, forms, text and numbers for prolonged periods. Pace varies from moderate to heavy activity; flexibility is important. Disruptions are frequent, as some problems need immediate attention. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Office is environmentally controlled. Exposure to outside environmental conditions. Exposed to hazards from electrical/mechanical/power equipment.

Subject to hazards:

Includes a variety of physical conditions such as proximity to moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, working on scaffolding and high places, exposure to high heat or exposure to bio-solids.

Subject atmospheric conditions:

One or more of the following conditions that affect the respiratory system of the skin: Fumes, odors, dusts, mists, gases, or poor ventilation. The workplace is in a smoke-free environment. PPE is required and must be worn as instructed. Must adhere to all safety requirements. Required to travel great distances using all methods of transportation. Occasionally required to travel alone on business travel.

PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS

100% – Oversee project fleet operations: Ensure staff are properly trained and capable of completing assigned tasks effectively and efficiently. Provide feedback on the necessary equipment and supplies to complete the required tasks safely and efficiently. Maintain and distribute reports and information as required. Monitor and ensure that project operations comply with all applicable rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. Develop and maintain positive relationships with employees, customers, vendors, and the public.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBIITIES

The Fleet Supervisor assist the Fleet Director with supervising Fleet Assistant, Porters, and Mechanics at the project site as directed. Monday – Friday 40 – 50
