World:

The Distribution Coordinator is responsible for directing the daily distribution process to maintain optimum customer service and seek continuous improvements in distribution process. More specifically, this includes Planning, creation, scheduling, documentation, and prioritization of shipments; including coordinating with other members of the shipping department to ensure all shipments are properly prepared.
Distribution of shipments’ “Picking Lists” to warehouse operations
Ensure specific customer requests and instructions are carried out regarding packaging, shipping, and processing customer samples as requested
Communication and coordination with external carriers and support warehouse inventory efforts
Providing estimated weights and dimensions for freight options
Creating reports on shipping activities such as tracking shipments, compiling statistics about shipping volume or rates, etc.
Arranging for pickup or delivery of shipments using a variety of methods such as trucking companies, railroads, airlines, or shipping lines
Communicating with clients to ensure that they receive their orders on time
Entering shipping costs and keep track of them for accounting purposes
Maintaining records of inventory levels and cycle counts
Analyzes inventory records and SAP information to resolve discrepancies and processes inventory record adjustments per established guidelines
Maintaining a database of customer information such as shipping address and contact information Required Qualifications for

Consideration:

High School Diploma or equivalent is required
Must have PC skills, working knowledge of Word, Excel, and typing skills.
Must have worked with SAP or similar system
