Role:

Earth Tech Environmental LLC is seeking a skilled and environmentally conscious Equipment Operator with hands-on experience operating small to mid-sized machinery including skid-steers, tractors, and mini-excavators. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about land management and restoration work, particularly in sensitive ecosystems throughout Florida.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain a variety of equipment such as:
• Skid-steers, tractors, and mini-excavators
• Equipment attachments including buckets, grapples, mowing decks, and mulching heads
• Perform site preparation, vegetation clearing, and restoration tasks in environmentally sensitive areas
• Adhere to environmental regulations and best practices to minimize impact on natural habitats
• Identify and properly manage native and exotic plant species
• Assist in restoration activities including mowing, mulching, invasive species removal, and native plant installation

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience operating skid-steer, tractor, and mini-excavator machinery
• Proficient in the use of equipment attachments (grapples, mowing decks, mulching heads, etc.)
• Strong understanding of Florida’s outdoor environments and ecological sensitivity
• Familiarity with native and invasive plant species (preferred)
• Ability to work in remote and rugged terrain
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (CDL a plus)
• Must be reliable, safety-focused, and able to work in varying weather conditions, environmental conditions, and the ability to work is in dust and pollen environments

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with ecological restoration, conservation, or environmental contracting
• Working knowledge of environmental permitting and best management practices
