We are currently seeking dependable, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as traveling trash collectors. This is an entry level position with the ability to move up in the organization.

Position Overview:

As a traveling trash collector you will travel all over the country (specifically the Southeast) to various markets to collect trash at various apartment communities. You must be able to travel up to 90% of the time. When not traveling you will be helping out in the Orlando market. You must be okay with driving for extended periods of time and flying when necessary. You will be provided with a company truck and fuel card as well as per diem for food and lodging will be paid.

Key Responsibilities:

Use our workplace messaging system

  • Slack. Your direct manager will post your plan in your specific channel of each route you will complete for the night at 5pm. Arrive on time at your first assigned apartment community, typically at 6
  • 7PM depending on the day of service.

Collect trash and recyclables from each resident’s doorstep throughout the community, including upper-level units (stairs required). Use a leak-proof tote to transport waste to your pickup truck and then to the designated compactor or disposal site. Maintain cleanliness and safety standards at the compactor/dumpster area before completing the shift. Provide professional and courteous service to residents when encountered. Submit nightly service documentation, including records of any resident violations, audit results, and time-stamped photos taken at both arrival and departure.

Schedule & Hours:

5 days per week

  • Sunday
  • Thursday 2 weekends on call per month Shifts average 5 to 10 hours per night, depending on your pace and community size.

Typically 25-35 hours per week, with the potential for additional days based on availability and performance.

Compensation:

$150 per day on weekdays, $100 on weekends. When traveling, you will receive a $50 per day per diem and lodging will be paid for by the company. This is a W2 employment position. Pay is issued via direct deposit on the 5th and 20th of each month. A valid bank account is required for payroll processing.

Technology:

A smartphone with an active data plan (for communication and task verification).

Physical Fitness:

Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and work in varying weather conditions without assistance.
