Health, Vision, Dental, Paid time off, 401(k), Flexible schedule Role Overview We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Quality Resident Engineer to serve as the key liaison between our supplier and the plant quality team. This role is critical in ensuring product quality, resolving issues quickly, and maintaining strong communication across teams. You’ll be the go-to expert for quality concerns, supplier process knowledge, and issue resolution at the plant level. Key Responsibilities Act as the primary contact for plant Quality Concern Notifications and communicate updates promptly. Present issue resolution status to plant management and support daily quality meetings. Collaborate with Incoming Quality to investigate and resolve emerging concerns. Ensure clean cutoffs for defective parts, verify certified stock usage, and manage suspect stock quarantine. Facilitate supplier visits and understand supplier design responsibilities and agreements (e.g., MPAs, Bailment). Conduct surveillance audits and support warranty return processes. Drive closure of issues using structured problem-solving tools (e.g., 8D, Shainin, Six Sigma). Ensure timely delivery of 8D reports and extraordinary actions from supplier contacts. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related STEM field. 2-5 years of experience in a quality, manufacturing, or engineering role. Strong understanding of supplier manufacturing processes and poka-yoke systems. Familiarity with vehicle electrical systems and wiring harnesses is a plus. Preferred Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills. Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints. Experience with problem-solving methodologies (e.g., Green Belt, Global 8D). Comfortable managing multiple projects and working cross-functionally. Willingness to travel as needed.
