Full Job Description Job Summary:

A Pizza Place Cashier is the first point of contact for customers, responsible for providing exceptional service, processing orders accurately, and ensuring a positive dining experience. This role involves managing transactions, assisting with order pick-up, maintaining a clean and organized front counter, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere through friendly interactions.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Service Excellence:

Greet all customers promptly and enthusiastically with a friendly smile and positive demeanor. Engage in polite and brief small talk to enhance the customer experience. Accurately take customer orders, ensuring all special requests and modifications are noted. Process payments efficiently and accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system. Answer customer inquiries regarding menu items, pricing, and promotions. Handle customer feedback or complaints professionally and escalate to management when necessary.

Order Fulfillment & Accuracy:

Verify orders for accuracy before handing them to customers. Ensure correct food packages are given to the right customers. Assist with packaging food items as needed.

Work Area Maintenance:

Maintain a clean, tidy, and organized front counter, lobby, and cashier station at all times. Regularly clean and sanitize work surfaces, equipment, and customer areas. Restock supplies such as napkins, condiments, and utensils. Assist with general cleaning tasks as assigned, including sweeping and mopping.

Operational Support:

Accurately manage cash drawer and reconcile it at the beginning and end of shifts. Follow all cash handling procedures and security guidelines. Communicate effectively with kitchen staff regarding order flow and customer needs. Adhere to all food safety and hygiene standards

$16.00 – $19.00 per hour Expected hours: 35 per week
