Job Summary Note:

We are not a call center, CSS does not perform cold calls, and we are not selling or marketing services. This is a social work type of position. Serious applicants ONLY! LightUp Your World Inc. is a non-for-profit outreach agency authorized by the State of New Jersey Department of Community Affairs (NJDCA) to help ensure clients gain access to USF and LIHEAP grants by applying online. Our purpose is to assist qualified residents from Gloucester, Cumberland, Salem, Burlington, Camden, and Bergen counties who may be struggling with their home energy bills. As an outreach agency, our responsibility is to identify, inform, and assist clients. Due to an increase in client base, we require personnel to fill the position of Customer Service Specialist CSS. This position requires exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to answer complex customer inquiries in a fast-paced environment. Duties / Expectations

Respond to client inquiries via phone, email, or chat in a timely and professional manner. Analyze client needs and provide appropriate solutions or alternatives. Manage client applications and ensure accurate information is maintained, translated, and communicated. Friendly and outgoing personality who is ready to go all the way in helping clients. Ability to be patient and emphatic with client financial struggles or dilemmas. Collaborate with other units to provide leads and referrals to offer more services. Educate clients on the follow-up process for clear expectations. Negotiate with clients when necessary to resolve conflicts or concerns effectively. Maintain detailed records of client data, interactions, and transactions for accurate record keeping. Maintain confidentiality of client nonpublic information. An individual who is comfortable with performance and goal setting.

Skills / Requirements

Associates degree Strong customer service skills with a focus on delivering excellent support. Ability to communicate effectively in English; proficiency in Spanish is a plus, but not mandatory. Strong analytical skills to assess situations and provide effective solutions. Negotiation skills to handle difficult conversations with professionalism. Proficient in using computer systems and software applications for data entry and client management. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively. Exceptional phone etiquette and active listening skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Job Types:
Full-time, Contract Pay:

$18.00 – $21.00 per hour
