Job Duties This position will provide a consistently high level of service and advice to our clients. This person will build solid working relationships with clients and focus on retention of existing clients.

  • Provide accurate, timely and friendly service to assigned Commercial Lines clients.
  • Address clients’ service-related issues in a timely manner and keep Commercial Service Technicians and Commercial Risk Consultants updated on problems or adverse trends that arise.
  • Assist clients with policy coverage questions, changes, exclusions and additional coverage as needed.
  • Ensure that policy renewals have been thoroughly and accurately prepared for delivery to our clients.
  • Work closely with Commercial Risk Consultant(s) to stay current on the status of risk management projects, identifying potential issues and/or opportunities associated with these projects.
  • Provide Commercial Risk Consultant (s) with regular and timely input on account activity, creating an environment of teamwork and information sharing.
  • Exhibit an awareness of potential cross sell or coverage gap opportunities keeping Commercial Risk Consultant (s) aware of such opportunities.
  • Complete Renewal Submissions when required
  • Build underwriter relationships. Respond to carrier requests promptly and appropriately. Attend carrier meetings or webinars when applicable
  • Responsible for conflict resolution and collaboration between client and insurance carrier.
  • Supporting the development and implementation of agency-established processes, procedures, and instructions.
  • Assisting in ensuring adherence to agency established processes and procedures
  • Assist in training and development
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by management Behavioral Competencies Accountability Has ability to multi-task and prioritize workload Accepts responsibility for managing their book of business Integral part of high performing team Growth & Improvement Proactively pursues opportunities to become a go-to resource for industry developments, regulatory changes, market trends, and specialized coverage knowledge within our niche markets Basic Qualifications Proficient in navigating the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook 2+ years’ experience in the Commercial Lines insurance industry NYS P&C License Insurance Industry designation or advanced training preferred EPIC proficiency preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proactive nature with problem solving Detail Oriented Positive approach to all aspects of the job, department, and Agency Self-Starter Strong Multi-tasker Commercial Lines coverage knowledge
