Automotive Service Advisor Are you a natural people-person with a knack for sales and a passion for providing exceptional customer service? Autoworx is seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our growing team. While automotive experience is preferred, we are willing to train the right individual who demonstrates a strong aptitude for customer service, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a genuine desire to learn. As an Automotive Service Advisor, you are the face of our service department. You will be responsible for building strong relationships with our customers, accurately documenting their vehicle concerns, then collaborating with our technicians to recommend appropriate services and repairs, ensuring a smooth and positive service experience from start to finish. This role is heavily focused on understanding customer needs, effectively communicating technical information, and successfully recommending necessary services to keep their vehicles safe and reliable.
Key Responsibilities:
Exceptional Customer Service:
Greet customers promptly and courteously, actively listen to their concerns, and provide clear and transparent explanations of services and repairs. Build rapport and trust to foster long-term customer relationships.
Consultative Sales:
Proactively identify and recommend necessary maintenance and repair services based on vehicle inspections, manufacturer recommendations, and customer concerns. Confidently present options and explain the value of each service to acquire customer approval.
Effective Communication:
Translate complex technical information into easily understandable terms for customers. Keep customers informed throughout the service process regarding their vehicle’s status, unexpected issues, and estimated completion times.
Accurate Diagnosis & Documentation:
Work closely with technicians to accurately document vehicle issues and translate their findings into comprehensive repair orders. Document all customer interactions, vehicle conditions, and recommended services.
Problem Resolution:
Address customer concerns and complaints professionally and efficiently, striving for a first-resolution approach and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Team Collaboration:
Collaborate effectively with management, technicians, suppliers, and other service team members to ensure a seamless workflow and timely completion of services.
Process Adherence:
Follow all company policies and procedures related to service write-up, repair order flow, billing, and customer follow-up.
Qualifications:
Proven Sales Acumen:
Demonstrated ability to identify customer needs, present solutions, and close sales. Experience in a sales-oriented role is highly desirable.
Outstanding Customer Service Skills:
A genuine passion for helping people and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
Excellent Communication Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Ability to analyze situations, identify problems, and develop effective solutions.
Strong Organizational Skills:
Capable of managing multiple tasks, prioritizing workload, and maintaining accurate records in a fast-paced environment.
Computer Proficiency:
Comfortable using computers. We embrace technology in everything we do.
Positive Attitude & Team Player:
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment. Automotive knowledge is a plus, but not required. We are committed to providing comprehensive training for the right candidate! Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
