Overview:

Sanders Animal Hospital is seeking a Customer Service Specialist (CSS) who will serve our staff, our clients, and our patients with exceptional compassion, energy, and attention to detail. The successful CSS recognizes each individual in the clinic as deserving of the most timely and accurate information conveyed with professionalism and discernment. The CSS must have the emotional intelligence to graciously share in the joy and the heartbreak that is a part of serving the animals in our care.

Responsibilities:

• Handle incoming customer inquiries and provide accurate information about our products and services
• Assist customers with scheduling appointments, relaying medical information, and resolving any issues or concerns
• Maintain exceptional medical records
• Communicate effectively with customers face to face, through phone calls, and through emails and text messages.
• Communicate effectively with our team verbal and written means.
• Understand and promote services and products supported by Sanders Animal Hospital
• Participate in the daily tasks required to maintain the facility
• Maintain a high level of professionalism and adhere to company policies and procedures

Qualifications:

• Innate desire to serve others well
• Previous experience in customer service or a medically related field
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in medical terminology
• Commitment to supporting veterinary medical standards of practice
• Ability to analyze customer needs and provide appropriate solutions
• Physical stamina to be on your feet, lifting, cleaning, and running errands
• Strong data entry skills with attention to detail in spelling and grammar
• Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and graciously
