Location:
Hybrid (3 days in office/2 days WFH weekly) Atlanta GA
We are working with a fast-growing international rug and home textile design and manufacturing company with offices and showrooms in Atlanta, New York, and India. Products included in the line
- handmade wool and natural fiber-based area and accent rugs, machine made synthetic rugs, indoor/outdoor rugs, bath rugs, shower curtains, kitchen rugs, table linens and window curtains, which are sold to US and global retailers.
Key US customers include Target, West Elm, Pottery Barn, Walmart, TJ Maxx/HomeGoods, Costco, World Market, Lowe’s, Home Depot, and more.
This is a hybrid weekly (in-office 3 days/week and 2 days WFH) position and based in Atlanta, GA. The candidate must be based in the Atlanta / Greater Atlanta area

The company is seeking a new Textile Designer to add to a growing product design team, focusing on woven, printed, and handmade textile design and development. Reporting to the Design Manager, the Textile Designer will work very closely with the design team, sales & merchandising, and the manufacturing facility sampling group. The Textile Designer will learn the textile and rug product categories in-depth, understand the customer needs for specific accounts and develop product presentations for each customer based on market information, customer feedback and trend forecasts. The position will be responsible for designing and driving development in the textile and seasonal rug categories, involve a mix of independent projects and support projects for the product line, seasonal, or custom projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work with the US design team to create textiles for table linens and seasonal rug categories
Develop, maintain, and evaluate textiles and construction samples for line development and special custom projects or seasonal projects
Meet with designers, sales, and customers to review custom projects and new development. Provide textiles, design work, specifications, and other meeting materials as required
Keep up to date on retail and international color, design, and sales trends
Communicate with overseas manufacturers for the quality, design, and product development
Support showroom set up for markets
Qualifications:
Prior experience of 3+ years in home textile design
BFA in Textile Design preferred or related degree
In depth understanding of textile construction and manufacturing textiles for weaving process
Overseas manufacturing experience
Candidate must be proactive, resourceful, and efficient with good organizational skills
Keen sense of urgency, initiative, and motivation
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Able to take direction and work in a collaborative, fast-paced team environment
Extremely well versed in Photoshop, Illustrator, Keynote, and collaborative platforms
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Open to international and domestic travel
