CLIENT OVERVIEW

Our client is a fast-paced, contemporary fashion brand known for our trend-driven collections and commitment to quality craftsmanship. Their collaborative team environment supports creativity, innovation, and growth across all departments. They work with major retailers and specialty boutiques across the U.S. and abroad. Their team is now looking for a Freelance Associate Designer (Wovens)!

SALARY/HOURLY RATE

$30/hr – $35/hr

POSITION OVERVIEW

The Freelance Associate Designer (Wovens) must have a strong wovens experience to support the design team. The ideal candidate should be highly organized, trend-savvy, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on taking initiative, managing design processes, and contributing creatively from concept through final sample.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE FREELANCE ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

(WOVENS):
Assist in designing seasonal wovens collections from concept to production.
Create and update CADs, tech packs, and line sheets.
Research market trends, fabrics, and techniques.
Support fit sessions and communicate revisions to factories.
Source and organize fabrics and trims.
Maintain design boards and presentation materials.
Collaborate cross-functionally with production, tech, and sales teams.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE FREELANCE ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

(WOVENS):
2 – 4 years of experience in women’s wovens design.
Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Excel.
Strong knowledge of garment construction and fabrications.
Excellent CAD and sketching skills.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS FOR THE FREELANCE ASSOCIATE DESIGNER

(WOVENS):
Experience working with overseas factories.
Familiarity with PLM systems.
Ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field.
