Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant (Full-Time, On-Site)

Hernando, FL Hours:

Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM We are seeking a highly skilled, self-directed Graphic Designer & Marketing Assistant to join our Marketing Department. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, excellent writing skills, and the ability to juggle multiple projects with grace and humor. You’ll work closely with the Marketing Director to maintain branding consistency across a variety of materials while also playing a vital role in our community outreach, digital content, and internal communications.

Key Responsibilities:

Design upscale, brand-consistent marketing pieces for print and digital use (ads, flyers, newsletters, brochures, signage, etc.) Update website content and graphics on a daily basis Write and edit articles, blogs, and event content for newsletters and online platforms Assist in proofreading all marketing materials for grammar, spelling, accuracy, and layout consistency Manage and contribute to social media content creation and scheduling Experience in journalism or print media a major plus Review art for accuracy (size, color, formatting) and prepare final proofs for manager sign-off

Requirements:

2+ years of professional Adobe InDesign experience (required) Proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills Excellent proofreading and communication skills Must be detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines Experience in article writing, editing, and blog content Social media and WordPress update experience preferred Team-oriented with a flexible, can-do attitude

Preferred Qualifications:

4-year college degree in Design, Marketing or Communications (preferred) Journalism, newspaper, or blog writing and layout design experience is a strong plus Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Familiarity with community or club-style marketing is a bonus
