Location:
Hybrid in Boston, MA (2 days on-site, 3 days remote)Hours per week: For the summer, 32-40 hrs p/w (their team closes on Fridays but if there’s work to be done, you can still tackle that on Fridays with approval) but come the fall, it will be an expected 40 hours pw

Job DescriptionOur client, a national edtech nonprofit, is seeking a Motion Graphics Designer with video editing and digital design experience who has a passion for social media and youth engagement. This organization is transforming how students explore careers and prepare for their futures through free, digital-first experiences and innovative content. It’s a highly creative and conceptual role – this team is not held by strict brand standards for some of the work you’ll be doing, so you can really push the limits for fun creative work!
What You’ll DoStrongly contribute to the creative for their social channels: You will create short-form video and animated content for platforms like TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube that resonates with Gen Z and Gen Alpha. There may also be graphic design and video editing here and there.
Collaborate with copywriters and marketers to concept and produce a wide range of creative assets-from social ads and digital campaigns to B2B materials and event collateral.
Stay on top of pop culture and social trends to keep content fresh, relevant, and engaging.
Design B2B and B2C materials that support thought leadership, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement.
Ensure brand consistency across all visual touchpoints while pushing creative boundaries.
What We’re Looking ForA motion graphics expert with a strong portfolio of social-first content (Adobe Creative Suite mastery required).A trend-savvy creative who can translate cultural moments into compelling visual stories.
Someone who’s equally comfortable designing for students and adult audiences.
A collaborative, organized, and self-motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Confident presenting ideas and incorporating feedback from senior stakeholders.
QualificationsExperience / a portfolio showcasing a mix of Motion Graphics, Video Editing and Design experience (experience heavier in some areas over the other is OK)Proficiency across After Effects, Premiere Pro, the Adobe Creative SuiteExperience working across multiple brands throughout your career (exposure to different jobs/industries, agency experience, or freelance client diversity is great)In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including financial information. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
