As a leading producer of electronics for government and private sector initiatives, BAE Systems requires intelligent solutions to complex problems in all areas, including marketing and corporate communications. The designer works with the art manager, senior designers and communications staff to ensure that designs are appropriate and compelling for the intended audience and purpose, and are consistent with organizational and client branding, goals, and priorities. Activities include the development of corporate and project-specific communications materials, including print and web-based marketing, advertising, and leadership messaging. The designer works with a range of company business areas, supporting video and social messaging along with print duties. Motion graphic and animation understanding and familiarity are required. Candidates interested in this role must have a great eye for design and excellent use of typography, as well as strong technical skills and attention to detail. Must have a good understanding of how to build print and web/digital files properly. Must be detail-oriented and able to prioritize heavy workloads based on deliverables and timing. Required Education, Experience, & Skills BFA in graphic design or B.A. in Communications Have a portfolio of original work 3-5 years’ professional experience Experience working in print and web design Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite, in particular InDesign, PhotoShop, and Illustrator as well as familiarity with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint Experience with developing multimedia Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities with strong attention to detail, with a strong ability to adapt design styles, visual tones, etc. to multiple design treatments, each with a unique voice, look, and feel Collaborates consistently and easily with other creative roles (designers, developers, and video) Self-motivated and adherent to deadlines Ability to problem solve Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Animation experience a plus 3D experience a plus Photography experience a plus

- $112343 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
