Starting at $27/Hr Blazer Jobs is currently seeking a qualified and dedicated Sign Language Interpreter (SLI/ASL Interpreter) for a full-time, school-based position in Harvey, LA for the 20252026 school year. Typical Job Duties:

Provide interpretation services between spoken English and American Sign Language (ASL) for students who are deaf or hard of hearing Support student participation in academic and extracurricular activities Interpret classroom instruction, discussions, and school communications Collaborate with teachers and support staff to ensure effective communication access Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical interpreting standards Assist in the preparation of materials as needed

Required Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors preferred) Valid national certification (such as EIPA score of 3.5+ or RID/NIC certification) Compliance with Louisiana state requirements for educational interpreters Fluency in ASL and English Previous experience in a school setting preferred
