Sign Language Interpreter Location:

Winston-Salem, NC •Must reside over 50 miles away to qualify for travel package•
Taxable Wages = $656.25/week
Weekly Housing Allowance = $770/week
Weekly Meals & Incidentals Allowance = $476/week

Details:

Start date: August 2025

Contract Length:

2025 – 26 School Year, potential to extend
Flexible to work with students of all grade levels
1:1 services
Monthly PD offered
Strong support team in place with a Lead Interpreter, Lead DHH Teacher, and Director

Requirements:

Associate’s degree in interpreting or a related field and must meet 20 hours of professional learning related to interpreting/transliterating annually
Educational Interpreter I
Score of 3.3 or higher on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA)or a TEC Unit score of a level 2 for cued language transliterator
Educational Interpreter II
Score of 3.5 or higher on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a TEC Unit score of a level 3 for cued language transliterator
Educational Interpreter III
Score 4.0 on the Educational Interpreting Proficiency Assessment (EIPA) or a TEC Unit score of a level 3 or, may hold a national certification
Experience working in an educational setting
