DESCRIPTION
A music director is needed for elementary and middle school after-school theatre programs that present Broadway musicals at multiple schools in Westchester County, NY. The production dates range from September 2025 to June 2026. Elementary school programs run for two weeks in each school, and two middle school programs run for 4-5 weeks.
Responsibilities will include teaching, coaching, and reviewing music for children in grades K-8. The music director will apany all rehearsals and performances live on piano. Show selections differ from school to school. Experience with theatre education is preferred, but experience working with children is a must.
This is a part-time, independent contractor position, paid. This position is best suited for individuals seeking to supplement their ie on a show-by-show basis.
Obtaining New York State Finger Clearance for this position is required. We are specifically looking for individuals who can provide their transportation via car, as many of these schools are not accessible by Metro-North.
Pay•$35•40/hr, contingent upon experience
