Full Job Description Position Summary:

The Photography and Digital Asset Specialist is directly accountable for creating, processing, archiving, and maintaining the Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform of content for Pilot. This includes fulfilling the demand for both internal and external (customer) needs and close partnership within Creative Services for the day-to-day needs of the team for design, collateral, advertising and packaging development as needed.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities:

Acquisition, scheduling, coordination, and development of all Pilot product photography through internal and external sources as appropriate and mandated by request, requirement, or end use. Collaborate with Director of Creative Services on reporting and assessment of budgetary requirements throughout the year for internal and external cost centers. Coordinate with other departments & teams (Product Management / IT / Sales / Marketing) in the direct support and acquisition of critical and time-sensitive photographic assets. Coordinate and process image assets across digitally connected platforms including Pilot DAM, website(s), intranet, extranet, etc. Communicate with other departments to troubleshoot missing images, correct errors and support the needs of the company. Acquire, maintain, meticulously organize and support accurate, high quality digital assets based on DAM standards and industry best practices in areas such as color model, file format, resolution, pixel dimension, crop, canvas size, taxonomy, versioning, metadata, and any other aspects as dictated by customer need or business requirement. Curate and provide continual maintenance and end-user support of the Pilot DAM to facilitate easy access to self-serve digital content. Collaborate with the Creative Director in the planning of future growth and to constantly assess evolving Pilot business goals and needs. Accountable for the development and optimization of internal processes and workflows for generating DAM assets to ensure efficiency and access by end-users. Organize and assist with end-user training and education on the use of the Pilot DAM and the image request process across departments. Maintain and organize the Pilot product photo studio, including equipment, lighting, sets, and props, to consistently produce high-quality photography that meets company standards and supports business goals.

Education and Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Graphic Design or related area, plus up to five years professional experience. Previous experience with managing a DAM platform preferred.

Skills Required:

Product photography expertise, including all camera functions, exposure, lighting, composition, set design, and styling. Expert level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom and Illustrator required. Strong organization, communication, digital file management, and time management skills required. Expertise in MacOS hardware/software workflows. Monday – Friday 7:30am – 3:30pm
