Media/Studio Assistant (Part-Time to Full-Time Potential)

Position Overview:
We’re seeking a talented and driven Media/Studio Assistant to join our team. This part-time role is perfect for someone who thrives both creatively and administratively. You’ll be responsible for capturing high-quality photo and video content during classes, competitions, photo shoots, and behind-the-scenes moments — and when you’re not behind the lens, you’ll assist at the front desk to help keep our studio running smoothly. This position will work closely with our Marketing Team to curate and contribute to a stunning, modern, and inspiring online presence. There is strong potential for growth into a full-time role as the studio expands.
Responsibilities:
Photograph and/or video studio classes, rehearsals, performances, and special events Edit and organize visual content for social media, website, and marketing use Collaborate with the Marketing Team to develop campaigns, content calendars, and brand storytelling Upload and archive digital content systematically and consistently Assist with front desk duties including check-ins, answering parent inquiries, light admin work, and customer service Help with content creation days, photo shoots, and media coordination Maintain a consistent visual identity across all platforms
Requirements:
Experience with photography/videography and access to personal camera equipment (DSLR or mirrorless) Familiarity with editing tools (Lightroom, Photoshop, Canva, etc.) Strong organizational and time-management skills Warm, friendly presence with excellent communication skills Availability for afternoon, evening, and weekend hours Comfort working around children, parents, and performance environments Ability to multitask between creative work and front desk responsibilities Social media experience a plus (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, etc.)
Schedule:
Part-time:
~15-25 hours/week to start Must be available for afternoon/evening shifts and occasional weekends Flexibility around studio event and competition dates is important Opportunity to grow into a full-time position based on performance and studio needs Bonus Skills (Not Required but Awesome to Have): Experience in dance or the performing arts Graphic design skills Video editing capabilities (Reels, TikTok, trailers) Experience managing content calendars or scheduling posts How to
