From full-day summer camps to year-round classes and workshops, we are dedicated to fostering curiosity, connection, and confidence. Our space celebrates diverse learning styles and promotes inclusive, hands-on education rooted in real-world experiences. Role Description We are seeking a full-time, on-site ASL Facilitator & Program Guide to lead engaging American Sign Language (ASL) instruction and community-based programming for children, teens, and adults. The position begins with interactive ASL camp experiences during the summer , and transitions into daytime and evening ASL classes for all ages during the fall term. This is not a traditional classroom role—we’re looking for someone who can create a warm, welcoming space where learners explore language and culture in a fun, meaningful way. Key Responsibilities:

Teach ASL to a wide range of learners, from young children to adults Create fun, inclusive lesson plans and hands-on activities tailored to different age groups Share insights into Deaf culture and community as part of the learning experience Collaborate with fellow facilitators to integrate ASL into broader camp and class programming Help plan and participate in community engagement events throughout the year

Qualifications:

Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL) Experience teaching or guiding learners of various ages, especially in informal or community-based settings Deep respect for and understanding of Deaf culture Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to plan inclusive and engaging activities No certification or interpreting experience required Preference given to Deaf applicants
