Seacrest Country Day School, a PS-12th grade independent, college preparatory school in Naples, Florida, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Varsity Girls Soccer Assistant Coach to join our athletic department. This role involves assisting the Head Coach with comprehensive soccer training and development for student-athletes. Key Responsibilities:
Soccer Coaching:
Assist the Head Coach in providing expert coaching, instruction, and feedback on soccer techniques, strategies, and overall fitness. Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive team environment that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and personal growth. Help plan and conduct daily practices, focusing on skill development, technique improvement, and conditioning. Assist in developing game strategies and lineups to optimize team performance. Support the academic and athletic success of student-athletes, ensuring a balance between their responsibilities. Communicate effectively with student-athletes, parents, and school administration regarding team activities, schedules, and expectations. Assist in recruiting and retaining student-athletes for the soccer program, promoting the benefits of participation and maintaining high engagement rates. Help manage and maintain soccer equipment and facilities, ensuring they are safe and in good condition. Adhere to all school, conference, and state athletic regulations and guidelines. Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics.
Athletic Coordination:
Assist the Director of Athletics in scheduling games, practices, and transportation for the soccer team. Coordinate the use and maintenance of soccer facilities and equipment. Support the Director of Athletics in maintaining a strong roster of student-athletes for the soccer program. Assist in the development and enforcement of athletic department policies and procedures. Promote and coordinate soccer events, such as awards ceremonies and team banquets. Ensure compliance with all school, conference, and FHSAA state athletic regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications:
Previous coaching experience in soccer, preferably at the high school or middle school level. Strong knowledge of soccer techniques, training methods, and game strategies. Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with coaches, administrators, and parents. Commitment to the academic and personal development of student-athletes. Valid First Aid, CPR, and AED certification (or willingness to obtain). Ability to pass a background check and meet all school and state requirements for coaching.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Management, or a related field. Experience competing in soccer at a high level. Knowledge of nutrition and injury prevention for athletes.
Compensation and Benefits:
