  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Executes recruiting tactics to move prospective graduate students through the milestones and steps to enrollment from inquiry to matriculation.

Provides personalized counseling on the admissions process and opportunities at RIT. Represents RIT on and off-campus to prospective students. Maintains comprehensive knowledge of RIT’s academic programs, immigration policies, admission requirements, funding resources, and degree outcome/career opportunities. Partners with graduate program directors in assigned caseload. Reviews, analyzes and evaluates the effectiveness of recruiting practices and outreach initiatives with prospective students and makes recommendations for improvement. Through relationships within the department, the EM Division and academic departments, works independently to achieve day to day objectives for established recruitment plans at the college and program level to engage and inspire prospective students at critical points in the enrollment funnel. Exercises judgment and makes decisions within defined procedures and practices. Confers with leadership and caseload management team on complex and unusual matters. Contributes to a work group focused on strategic planning efforts and program development in areas related to on and off campus visit/events, virtual meetings and webinars, and other prospective student outreach initiatives. In addition, they may act as a primary liaison for collaborative projects or initiatives with campus partners, which may include The RIT Graduate School, International Student Services, English Language Center, RIT Global, Student Affairs or within Enrollment Management. This work is done in collaboration with graduate enrollment leadership. Serves as a resource for staff, advises students regarding immigration regulations and processes, and acts as designated school official (DSO) for immigration process and documents.

  • 2 plus years of experience in marketing or recruitment, preferably in higher education.

  • The Offices of Graduate and Part-time Enrollment Services develops and implements marketing, recruitment, and admission strategies in support of international, graduate, adult, online, and part-time student enrollment goals.

The team develops strategic plans, conducts recruitment outreach, provides information and advising, and is responsible for the admissions and enrollment procedures and goals.

  • The Assistant Director of Graduate Admissions contributes to overall the recruitment activities to improve RIT’s new student graduate enrollment goals.

The Assistant Director is responsible for completing tasks and projects; exercising sound judgment; and maintaining a thorough understanding of admission policies and procedures. The Assistant Director will use professional communication, defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action to carry out established recruitment and enrollment initiatives. This position collaborates with faculty and staff to coordinate outreach and recruitment projects, programs, and events in support of strategic plan enrollment goals.
