General Duties:

Responsible for instructional delivery of Information Technology, Programming, Computer Science pathways including Digital Technology, Computer science Principles, Programming and AP Computer Science. Works with leadership to develop and deliver Information Technology, Programming, Computer Science courses as appropriate to the respective student populations. Recruits new students into Information Technology, Programming, and Computer Science program. Supervises students at all school Information Technology-related events including leadership, competition, and community service activities. Develop and sponsor Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) co-curricular chapter including leadership opportunities and competition events. Sponsor esports team. Performs other related responsibilities as approved by the appropriate administrator.

Qualifications:

To be qualified for this position an applicant must possess or be eligible for Georgia professional licensure in Computer Science. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field from an accredited college or university.

Specific Qualifications:

Work experience in Information Technology, Programming, or Computer Science related industry. Experience as a FBLA student and/or advisor Strong understanding of foundational cybersecurity principles, such as network security, threat detection, ethical hacking, and digital forensics. Proficient in computer programming languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS) and cybersecurity tools/platforms. Ability to deliver hands-on instruction and labs in areas such as operating systems, cryptography, secure coding, and network defense.
