Position Overview:
The Grading Superintendent is responsible for overseeing all grading operations on construction sites, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the specified quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various teams, managing resources, and implementing best practices for grading, earthwork, and site development.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and manage grading operations on multiple construction sites.
Ensure all grading work complies with project specifications, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of grading activities.
Monitor site conditions and adjust work plans as necessary to meet project goals.
Conduct regular inspections of grading work to ensure quality and adherence to engineering standards.
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, budgets, and schedules.
Train and mentor junior staff and site workers on grading and earthwork techniques.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Grading Superintendent or in a similar supervisory role in grading and earthwork.
Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, grading techniques, and sitework practices.
Experience in residential, commercial, and land development projects.
