Job Outline For a position to begin in the 2025-26 academic year, Canisius is seeking an experienced and talented team member who is inspired by the school’s mission and its students, and who is eager to further enhance its legacy of excellence in the formation of young men. The ideal candidate should be a competent professional with in-depth knowledge of the subject matter, an openness to growth, and an understanding of professional boundaries and appropriate conduct. In addition to having excellent written and verbal communication skills, an attractive candidate will also meet the following criteria: Bachelor’s degree. Athletic administration and/or coaching experience is preferred. Strong organizational abilities. Developed interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in a team environment. Enthusiasm for the work of education in a Catholic, Jesuit context. Must be available to start in August 2025. Must be able to provide their own transportation to athletic venues. Must also be available to work nights and weekends. Competitive salary commensurate with experience in a range of $40,000 to $55,000.

Job responsibilities include:

Assist with game management of athletic events. Assist with the admissions process for all student-athletes. Update our athletic website – canisiussports.com – on a daily basis, keeping records, rosters, schedules and articles current. Submit athlete rosters to the Monsignor Martin Athletic Association each season (fall, winter and spring) prior to the first athletic competition. Compile and submit All-Western New York Scholar-Athlete information each season. Schedule and maintain our athletic facilities – Bernard J. Kennedy ’49 Field House, Tripi Field and Robert J. Stransky Complex (including Koessler Field and Coppola Family Field). Respond to inquiries regarding athletics from coaches, athletes, teachers and parents. Interface with opposing teams for rosters and other logistical information. Assist coaches with uniform and equipment inventory. Assist Athletic Director as directed.
