Job Description
Qualifications:
Appropriate SC Teacher Certification required. Five or more years of teaching experience. Knowledge and use of the state’s curriculum standards and assessment program; Evidence of extensive on-going training and professional development; Utilization of best practices in teaching; Record of attendance at 95% or above.

Student, teacher and personal insight gathered through PDSA testing
Regular meetings with SAM team
Huddle meeting facilitation and/ or participation
Individual coaching sessions with teachers to improve their confidence with CI protocol
Monthly Instructional goals and plans reflected in building level Key Driver Diagram
Planning and strategy sessions with school leadership to develop goals and action plans for achieving KDD initiatives utiliziing data to drive discussion and areas of focus
Data collection and analysis in improving instruction and student learning as well as organizational improvement planning
Conduct observations of teachers to engage in reflective dialogue on using tools and methods
Provide professional development to staff on CI processes and tools
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Plan and operationalize Continuous Improvement Projects in priority content areas – with emphasis on 3rd grade reading (current coaches)
Provide content specific and CI professional development at building level, as well as individual coaching as needed
Ensure that teachers trained in CI advance along the CI learning progression by providing collaborative support to build their confidence in using CI processes & tools
Facilitate recurring Academic Collaborative (PLC) to ensure both long term planning and capture of lessons learned through classroom PDSA cycles
Share key learnings and meta-themes with district, building, and community stakeholders, including SAM.
Work directly with school leadership and staff to monitor the implementation of CI protocol
Work with school leadership to develop short and long term action plans to improve teacher and student performance informed by trends in data
Assist school leaders in using data to analyze school and student data, to identify areas of strength or challenges, and to inform action plans for improvement
Use data systems to measure and monitor progress and efficacy of implemented strategies
Assist in the management of the total school program using leadership, supervision, administration and professional skills.

Strong service and support orientation towards schools and school communities
Commitment to work collaboratively with school principal(s) and to share in accountability for student level outcomes
Strong analytical skills including facility in manipulation of quantitative data
Strong interpersonal skills to navigate diverse cultural environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to systematically manage a wide range of priorities in time constrained contexts
Ability to work effectively with School and District Leadership Demonstrated ability to teach, mentor and coach educators
