Job Description

Curriculum Development and Delivery:

Developing and implementing lesson plans for various subjects including reading, writing, math, social studies, and potentially science, arts, and music. Utilizing diverse teaching methods like lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities to cater to different learning styles.

Classroom Management and Environment:

Creating a safe, organized, and supportive classroom environment that encourages learning and collaboration. Establishing clear expectations for behavior and implementing strategies to maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:

Assessing student learning through various methods like tests, quizzes, and observations. Providing timely and constructive feedback to students to guide their learning. Tracking student progress and identifying areas where students might need additional support.

Communication and Collaboration:

Communicating effectively with parents about student progress, behavior, and needs. Collaborating with other teachers, specialists, and administrators to support student learning and development.

Professional Development:

Participating in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and stay updated on best practices. Working with administrators to develop and achieve professional goals.

Additional Responsibilities:

Supervising students during recess and lunch periods.
Participating in school-wide activities and events.
Assisting with school-related tasks and initiatives.
Adhering to school policies and procedures.
