Teach students critical thinking, research, and analysis skills, working within assigned subject areas to provide optimum student service in accordance with he objectives established by the School Committee. Coordinate efforts with specialist assigned to provide specific services. Confer with families to promote a better understanding of the pupil and their environment. Assist and guide ancillary personnel. Attend meetings and prepare and maintain all related records and report reflecting activities as required or directed. Perform other duties as directed or as responsibilities necessitate. Teach students critical thinking, research, and analysis skills, working within assigned subject areas to provide optimum student service in accordance with the objectives established by the School Committee. Certifications in English.

The school is based on a three-house system. The houses are named after Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nathaniel Hawthorne, and John Whittier, three well-known New England writers. Each house has two to three school counselors, a dean, and an office. All students are assigned a house at the beginning of their freshman year. Successful candidates will hold the appropriate degree and MA DESE teaching licensure in ELA at the secondary level.
Bachelor’s Degree is required, Master’s Degree preferred.
