Job Description
Fifth and sixth grades are departmentalized. Fifth and sixth grade teachers teach English, science, social studies, math, religion or a combination of those subjects to fifth and sixth graders. This position would teach ELA to all 5th grade students. The position would also include some religion classes.
- Implement the designed curriculum and programs; prior experience with any of the following Great Minds’ Wit & Wisdom is a plus
- Serve as a homeroom teacher
- Implement the designed curriculum and programs (academic, social-emotional, and religious/spiritual)
- Work collaboratively on curriculum implementation, instructional practice, and teaching and learning cycles with your partner teacher, colleagues, and instructional coaches
- Prepare classroom lessons and activities according to best practices and the school’s instructional vision
- Adapt and modify techniques and materials for effectiveness as necessary under the guidance of administration or instructional coaches
