Job Description
Develop and implement plans for age-appropriate curriculum / Instruct students in citizenship and basic subject matter / Develop lesson plans and instructional materials / use a variety of instructional strategies / translate lesson plans into learning experiences / establish and maintain standards of student behavior / evaluate students’ academic and social growth / keeps appropriate records / communicates with parents / identifies student needs, communicates and cooperates with other professional staff members / creates an effective environment for learning / maintains professional competence / supervises students in out-of-classroom activities during the school day / participates in faculty committees and the sponsorship of student activities / uses technologies in the teaching and learning process / keeps informed of and complies with state, town and school regulations and policies for classroom health and safety.
