Director of Athletic Operations Description of Essential Job Duties:
Plan, execute, and manage assigned Athletics events and game day operations tasks including: Performing facility walk throughs to review athletic facility readiness. Set up and tear down equipment in Athletic facilities. Collaborating with the Director of Fields & Facilities to submit work orders to Facilities for the maintenance, repair, and replacement of equipment as well as services critical to event operations and game management. Scheduling and booking necessary game operations staff both ad hoc and student based. Act as secondary/tertiary game manager for all Athletic Teams. Serve as secondary oversight of all game day requirements for officials, away teams, locker rooms, temporary event staff, etc.
including:
Scheduling Payment and payroll process management Training Supplies and Equipment Coordinate and schedule student workers for the Baseball Turf Crew, Athletic Event Staff, and ESPN+ Broadcast Team (this includes scheduling for games, and coordinating with Gemstone Media for ESPN+ Broadcast Team) Assist in the preparation of all athletic facilities for use by athletic teams for both practice, competition, and other department events. Serve as secondary contact for 25Live University Scheduling. Coordinate with student affairs to enhance student attendance at sporting events. Write and supply game day scripts for all home events. Other duties as assigned.
Work Conditions:
Work combines indoor administrative duties as well as indoor and outdoor game administration duties. Standard office hours are 9am-5pm, but the requirements of the job will frequently include irregular early morning, late night, weekend, and holiday work hours. Work requirements may require local off campus travel. Work requirements require the operation of small transportation vehicles and various general hand tools.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry equipment and supplies weighing up to 50lbs. Must be able to bend, stoop, and reach. Manual dexterity is required for the operation of vehicles and tools. Good vision sufficient for reading and written communication, as well as computer display screens. Good hearing to communicate effectively in person and by phone. Prerequisites Required for

Minimum Work Experience:
Bachelor’s degree is required. 2.
Other Minimum Qualifications:
1-3 years of experience in college administration of event operations and game day sports management. Ability to balance and manage multiple tasks in an active, fast paced NCAA Division I athletic department. Displays initiative and a willingness to go above and beyond when needed. Operates with a customer-service mindset to provide fans with the highest quality experience. Demonstrates timely problem-solving and creative ideas. Possesses ability to create positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Previous experience overseeing student work force is preferred.
