5044 Position Vacancy Announcement Florida A&M University’s Housing Department is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Coordinator, Student Affairs (Residential Engagement Coordinator) vacancy. Responsibilities The Coordinator of Student Affairs, with a working title of Residential Engagement Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Student Learning and Success in the Florida A & M University’s Office of Housing. This role involves developing and implementing programs that enhance student engagement, promote a sense of belonging, and support the overall well-being of residents. The Coordinator will collaborate with various departments to create a supportive environment that encourages student involvement and success. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years of appropriate experience; or Master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Recommended Competencies Experience working in higher education, particularly in housing, advising, or coaching; Knowledge of university campus resources available to students; Knowledge of university of housing; Skills working with different groups of people; Skills in office administration functions and computer applications; Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing; Ability to work independently and respond to emergencies; and, Student centered educational practices and programming. Pay Plan This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position. Conditions of Employment Successful candidate is subject to a pre-employment screening which includes a review of criminal records, reference checks and verification of education.
