New Orleans, LA Summary The Executive Director for Campus Accessibility and ADA/504 Coordination position is a key leadership position for the University. The Executive Director will have broad responsibility for overseeing University programs and responsibilities to assure compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act, Sections 503 and 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, and other federal and state laws and regulations pertaining to persons with disabilities. The scope of responsibility includes students, as well as employee matters. This position will report to the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, Student Resources & Support Services, for matters pertaining to students and visitors and to the Assistant Vice President of Human Resources. Required Qualifications Master’s degree preferred in special education, rehabilitation or other appropriate field Seven years of experience working with disability services,including management of medical and psychological documentation to identify appropriate accommodations Preferred Qualifications Doctorate in higher education administration, counseling, psychology or related field, or a Juris Doctorate More than seven years of experience in disability services at an institution of higher education ADA Coordinator certification
