Category Schools – Special Education Teacher Job Type Contract To Hire Position Overview We’re looking for a compassionate and certified Special Education Teacher to join our virtual team, providing remote support to K-12 students throughout Massachusetts . This fully online position offers the flexibility of working from home while making a real impact in the lives of students with unique learning needs. Using a secure teletherapy platform, you’ll collaborate with families, school personnel, and support staff to deliver customized instruction and services that help students reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities Provide virtual, individualized instruction based on students’ IEP objectives. Design, implement, and manage legally compliant IEPs tailored to each student’s learning profile. Adjust curriculum materials and instructional methods to support diverse learners. Coordinate with general education teachers, related service providers, and caregivers to ensure continuity of support. Track progress, gather data, and refine instructional strategies based on student outcomes. Participate in remote IEP meetings and contribute expert recommendations and data-driven insights. Ensure all required documentation is maintained accurately and meets Massachusetts state and district guidelines. Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or a closely related area. Valid Massachusetts Special Education teaching license . Preferably two or more years of experience working in a school-based or virtual special education setting. Strong understanding of IEP development, legal requirements, and compliance standards. Comfortable using online platforms for instruction, documentation, and communication. Exceptional organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills. Able to independently manage a remote caseload with professionalism and efficiency. Technology Requirements Reliable, high-speed internet connection. Desktop or laptop computer (Chromebooks and tablets are not supported). Willingness to complete a short technical check to ensure teletherapy platform compatibility.
